“Gwen was very responsive both before our stay and during. She made sure all the amenities were provided to us and then some! Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The only downside was the place was smaller compared to the pictures but it comfortably hosted the 4 of us (2 couples). I would not mind staying here again :)” -Ankur

…what people are saying about The Pike Lane Cabin (5 Star Rating on Airbnb)…

“What a pleasant surprise!! The pictures don’t do the property justice. The surrounding woods were spectacular and it was a beautiful, easy walk to the main part of town. We were two couples and the cabin was roomy for all of us. Roger who also lived on the property was a wonderful host, very accommodating, very welcoming and gave us some good ideas for hikes. Hiking Overlook Mountain and around Cooper Lake in the fall colors were highlights.”  -Cyndee

“So easy! Gwen was communicative and accommodating! Cute cabin – close to town yet isolated. I will be back again!”  -Marianna

“We had a great time staying at the Pike Lane Cabin. It backs up to a nice wooded area that our dog loved exploring. It provides a nice nature retreat while being very close to amenities in Woodstock.”  -Adam

“I almost don’t want to review this place, since it’s so cute, and I want to be able to get a reservation the next time I need one! At any rate, it is a lovely rustic little cabin, but the AC and wifi both worked well. It’s so nicely situated, as others have said–close to town, but in the woods, so you feel like you’re in the country. I will definitely be back.”  -Liz

“I loved this home. Small. Simple. Warm. Tucked in the woods but close enough to walk to town. The outdoor fireplace is the best part – for anyone who appreciates a cold night under a the stars with the warmth of a wood fire…”  -Valerie

“Gwen and Roger were excellent hosts! The place is exactly as pictured and they have everything there for you all set up such as the firewood for the bonfire area and gas for the gas grill. The house itself was very clean and spacious as well. Easy 15 minute walk into town. I highly recommend it and look forward to our next trip to Woodstock!”  -Katy

“Great place, in the woods but close to town. Gwen was quick to respond with information and everything was in place when we got there and matching the description.”  Jonathan M.

“We had a great stay at the cabin. It’s very peaceful and spacious, perfect for a couple. The screened-in porch was great for extended evenings outdoors. We bbq’d both nights – you have a choice of a charcoal grill or electric. We found the electric bbq super convenient (think it was brand new too!). We did walk around the property and came across two deers, they were friendly and didn’t run away. Check in was super easy with Gwen, always easy to reach. Roger and Elizabeth, are very hospitable hosts, very accommodating, kind people. They offered their bikes which we used to cycle in to town, walking is about 10-15 mins stroll. Nice weekend getaway from NYC.”  -Fah S.

“The host was great. Roger was welcoming upon arrival. The cabin was a great get away for my family. It had all the essentials we needed and our pet dog Sam enjoyed the open space to run around. I would definitely go back if I find myself in Woodstock again.  The Cabin was great and we all had a lovely time. We enjoyed how secluded the cabin felt and our dog loved exploring the small patch of woods behind the house. Thank you for a great time.”  -Becky C.

“Everything was as described. Great location near Woodstock, but still very much out in nature. The fire pit and grill were a big draw, and just as great as they look in the pictures. Gwen was extremely responsive before, during, and after our stay. We would return!”  -Aron C.

“We had a fantastic experience at the Pike Lane Cabin. Everything was as described and very clean. It was very well appointed and we had everything we needed, including paper goods. Gwen was very helpful with details before our stay. She was going to be unavailable during our visit so made sure we had contact info for her colleague Laura, who was also very helpful. The weather was due to turn cold for the first time so Laura and Roger made sure we had enough blankets and the heating units were working. It is close to town and very walkable but the road isn’t lit so you will need a flashlight for evening strolls. It’s very conveniently located to roads going anywhere/everywhere. Bonus: a great pizza place, Rick’s Wood Fired Pizza, is right at the end of the road. As a Brooklynite who’s had every variation of high end pizza I can tell you it is just as good as any NYC pizza, including Frannys, Lombardis, Totonnos, or Patsy Grimaldi’s.  Very clean! Loved the little touches such as the coffeemaker having a metal filter (instead of paper filters) and the Brita pitcher in the fridge.”  -Sharon M.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Woodstock. The cabin was clean, comfortable and spacious enough for 4 people. It was walking distance to town, but far enough away from everything. The owner was extremely gracious and friendly. I can’t wait to book another weekend at Pike Lane Cabin 🙂  We loved the privacy and property. It was so wonderful waking up in the woods.”  -Emilie K.

“We had an amazing time at the cabin. Location was perfect, secluded yet close to everything. The cabin was spacious and clean. It had everything we needed, especially enjoyed using the BBQ to grill what bought at the farmers market down the street! We hope to return soon!! Thank you for letting us stay at your lovely cabin. We definitely would like to come again soon!”

“We had an excellent time at the beautiful Pike Lane Cabin. It’s very serene and peaceful there – yet walking distance to town. Frequent visitations of young bucks and other wildlife and above all our hosts, Roger and Elisabeth are absolute stellar people of rare thoughtfulness and generosity of heart. We highly recommend the Pike Lane Cabin!” -Anna K.

“Listing was just as expected if not better. Roger was a great host and Gwen responsive throughout the booking and check in process- both a delight to work with. The space is so good I don’t want almost want to keep this as a secret for myself. A++++”  -Reena

“We had a great stay at The Pike Lane Cabin! Our only regret was that we didn’t get to spend more time on the property. It is much nicer and cuter than it looks in the photos. The cabin is down a road off of the main Tiniker Street and it feels like you are in the woods. The owner’s home is next door though we didn’t see him the entire stay (we didn’t need to because everything was perfect!) We were up in Woodstock for a wedding that we were in so we didn’t have much time to hang around the cabin (unfortunately!) We would have loved to have a fire in the fire pit in the front yard or made dinner and relaxed in the front screened-in porch. Alas! Maybe on our next visit!”  -Laura P.

“This is a cute, tidy little place in the woods at the end of a dirt road with a few other houses along the road. My fiance and I really loved the wood stove and the firepit! The host was helpful but not at all annoying! We had a very pleasant experience.”  -Jeff D.

“Roger and his cabin were great! My fiancee (and puppy!) and I had an amazing, relaxing stay. Roger made sure we were all set and gave us plenty of privacy. We had a great time exploring the woods and having a fire in the fire pit. I only wish we could have stayed longer!”  -Abby M.

“This was our second stay at the Pike Lane Cabin, and we loved it! Gwen and Roger (the owner) are both very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Thanks for another wonderful weekend in Woodstock!”  -Hayley S.

“We had a wonderful time at Gwen’s cabin! The place was very cute and cozy and a good location to town. Gwen was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We hope to return when the weather gets nice and see all thats been hiding under the snow!”  -Xristina S.

“Gwen’s Cabin is a charming place in the amazing town of Woodstock. It offers a thoughtful simple experoence. Lovely bedding, towels, kitchen. Great in summer or Winter. Thank you Gwen it was a great trip.”  -Polly W.

“We had a great weekend staying at the Pike Lane Cabin. The house is adorable; it has all of the basics and hidden at the back of an unmarked driveway, surrounded by beautiful woods. The home owner Roger lives next door and was very friendly and welcoming. Parking was easy. Great proximity to Woodstock – not even a mile to the center of town. We also brought our dog who had an exciting encounter when a deer came up close to the bedroom window and is completely exhausted from walks in the surrounding area. Gwen was easy to communicate with and very helpful when we arrived at the house. We’d love to come back another time.”  -Molly T.

“The Pike Lane cabin was great. It is a short walk from town, but far away enough so you get the country feel. The house owner was an absolute pleasure. The cabin itself is bigger than the pictures portray and the screened in porch is amazing. I would love to go back!”  -Lisa B.

“A perfect setting, a lovely place and cannot recommend highly enough.”  -Martin M.

“We loved staying at the cabin! It was close to the main street in Woodstock, but still very secluded and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed and we especially enjoyed the wood-burning stove. We would love to stay here again the next time we’re in Woodstock.”  Erika K.

“We spent a very snowy weekend at the Cabin and loved every minute of it! Gwen was very responsive to all of our questions, and the homeowner, Roger, was very generous and welcoming. We arrived very late at night and he provided step-by-step directions over the phone when we got a little lost. Everything is as pictured. The cabin is clean and welcoming and very close to town.”  -Hayley S.

“The overall experience at the Mountainside Guesthouse was an amazing one. Although we did not get the opportunity to meet Gwen in person, it was very easy to get in contact with her. The guesthouse is very cozy and welcoming along with its beautiful view of the backyard/trail.”  -David

“Didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Gwen, but the house was lovely and perfect for our needs. Despite being the guest house on another property, you have total privacy. The house was situated on a beautiful piece of land – was cozy but comfortable with 4 of us. It’s a close drive to woodstock.”         -Melissa

“Absolutely wonderful!”  -Allison

“A very pleasant house, in a very calm neighbourhood. Nice garden, and the house was well equipped and as described. We were greeted with a bottle of wine, and muffins and croissants on our first morning, which was lovely! I’d recommend this house, which was good value for money!!”  -Olivia

“We had a great time in the Guesthouse. Our lovely host had a wine for us and we even had a chance to chat a little bit. The location is lovely, close to town, but still far enough to enjoy some silence and beauty. Perfect for a relaxing few days!”  -Anetta

…and what people are saying about The Highwoods Cottage (5 star rating on Airbnb)…

“Gwen was completely responsive to all of my messages. The cottage was perfectly clean and super functional. Everything was as advertised. The kitchen was stocked and we made several meals while we were there. There were even some “K” cups for coffee in the morning. The street was quiet and my dog made use of the yard to run around. We didn’t get a chance to hike around the little rock quarry lake, but I did venture down to the start of the trail and it looked really nice. Unfortunately, our time was limited there, but the place was super comfortable and cozy. All in all I think this is a lovely little getaway and even though the main house is just a short way across the driveway Gwen made the place feel very private.”  -Carlos

…what people are saying about Big Red (5 Star Rating on Airbnb, no longer available for rent)…

“We had a wonderful stay at Big Red! Gwen was incredibly responsive and was super accommodating. This house is magical. Secluded but also close to town, plenty of towels for all of us (total of 8) and we even got to see the Milky Way! We will definitely be looking to renting Big Red again.”  -Catalina

“The place is magic! Quiet, in the middle of nature and the pool was amazing.”  -Marco

“Gwen is one of the best Airbnb hosts we’ve encountered. She was very responsive and accommodating. She even went out of her way to get us a fire pit when we briefly mentioned that it would be nice to have one on the property! The Big Red house in Woodstock was a perfect retreat for my family. It’s private and its lush with beautiful trees. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, relaxing in the big kitchen, which features large windows that let in a ton of sunshine, and lounging on the beautiful deck. Please note that the kitchen appliances are a bit outdated, but they work perfectly fine. The master bedroom is beautifully renovated with a private bathroom and it’s perfect for a couple. It was one of our favorite rooms in the house. There’s a private deck in the master bedroom where we would watch the turkeys roost at sunset. The rest of the bedrooms are not as impressive as the master bedroom, but they are clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Big Red house and would not hesitate to come back next summer.”  -Zac

“Very nice place, cheerfully decorated with flowers in the bedrooms, good supply of hot water (always important) and half and half in the fridge. Recommend to others visiting the Hudson River Valley. Bright and Clean!” -Isobel S.

“The sunshine suite was the perfect stay while doing a craft show at the Duchess Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck. Gwen was great to work with. We had initially booked the wrong nights and Gwen easily let us add a night to our stay. We were also unsure what time we would be checking in and Gwen made sure to leave us keys. We were an easy drive to Rhinebeck and walking distance to downtown Saugerties which was perfect for dinner.” -Lauren

“This is a great location to explore Saugerties. It was close to town but off the main drag. We were there for my daughter’s horse show HITS so it was great to be so close to the show grounds. The apartment was large and very sweetly furnished. I would definitely stay there again.”  Risha W.

“We loved our stay at the Sunshine Suite! Gwen is very easy to reach, yet we had total privacy. My family consists of my husband, myself, and our three teenage kids. We also had relatives and visitors in and out. There was never a complaint that we were too loud. Both beds are comfortable, the shabby chic decor was well achieved with local antiques. This served all our family’s needs. My favorite things were the decor, the comfortable air conditioning, the cozy family room for family card games, and the proximity to everything we love in Saugerties. We would definately stay again. Thanks Gwen!”  -Kim H.
